Who are the big names of wide dispersion speakers?

I was reading the SGHT review on the Waveform MC which leads me to ask the following question:
Who are some of the more well known brands of wide dispersion loudspeakers?
I get the impression that you either love or hate wide dispersion speakers. Do I have this right?
