update RE: Behringrer crossover for subs - should I get it?
Posted by K-Bob on April 21, 2017 at 07:03:43:
I want to use the Behringer CX2310 to cross my subs at 44Hz, which is the lowest setting on the stereo 2-way crossover.
But, as it turns out, the Behringer also has an undefeatable mono subwoofer out, which could potentially render the low-frequency band useless for subs.
HOWEVER, it is adjustable down to 10Hz.
My subs only go down to 27Hz (with literally zero response below that).
So I'm thinking if I set that 24dB/octave x-over at 10 Hz, it won't really affect my setup at all since I believe 10Hz is over an octave below 27Hz, so it would just be cutting a range the system isn't reproducing anyway.
