Well, after picking up a pair of Electro Voice EV fours ten years ago for thirty bucks, I thought it was good. I've spent 10 times that for a good vintage set to match my Fisher 800c. I can't get better! I dunno why. I picked up a pair of EV Marquis' that was bass dead. They now sit in my closet. I just got in a pair of Klipsch Heresies from '73 with the E crossover and still not better. I had been eying up AR3A's but from what I've read, they suck up too much wattage. Anyone know of a good vintage bookshelf that will take the sound up a good level or two? I'm on spending restriction until I unload the Marquis and Klipsch's. Any thoghts would be great!
