Thanks for the comparison.

You might try loading the columns in the Skylan only half full of ballast. I was talking to a Harbeth dealer and he suggested that the stands should not be filled completely and that they could be filled progresively while listening to the resultant effect. However he did not recommend filling completely for just the reasons that you seemed to experience in your comparison.

Just a thought.

P.S. I don't own Harbeths at the moment but am considering the 7ES3 or Super HL5.
