Speakers come at the end of the audio chain, and accordingly, are at the mercy of outside factors. Such as:
- Room size
- Wall material
- Stand quality and height
- Flooring material
- Speaker positioning
- Quality of upstream components and cablingAnd make sure you have the polarity correct. If you have the speaker cables out of phase, you will have weird effects in the imaging and bass.
