I own both. With a really good front end, the EPOS is amazing. I have a Rogue pre-amp and amp, Skylan stands, DH speaker wire and very expensive interconnects (whose name escapes me at the moment for some reason).

And yes, on that system the ELS3 is incredible. Do the 30" Skylan stands with one bag of shot at the bottom, and the rest filled with sand.

However..., yes they are 'poor man's LS3/5a's - with a great front end. But they are not a pair of Stirlings. I could probably live with a pair though, if I got to keep my Rogue gear....
