I was surprised to hear the $40K DEQX'd speakers from some company not sounding, to me, quite as good as Xd in many ways.

I was also surprised to see so many expensive speakers set up so close to side walls. As if they wanted to ruin the sound. The Gallo room did it right, though I noticed some upper midrange weirdness on them too, on a cut that I happened to know. Still, those are under $3K, so it wasn't a terrible thing.
