Speakers don't have large narrow mid-bass and lower bass peaks -- they are caused by the room

Relatively flat bass frequency response is easy to accomplish with a speaker design -- the bass extension and bass roll-off curves may differ among speakers, but a narrow bass peak under 80Hz. is almost certainly caused by in-phase room reflections, not by the speaker.
