This Tlyer bashing raised its head in earlier posts and it is clear (and admitted) that the basher has never listened to Tylers but is 'relying' on comments of his 'friends' in coming to his conclusions about their value. Before Tylers it was another brand.
He is obviously a VS insider and supporter as is evidenced by his ownership of a pair of VS speakers which, except for his pair, were only available in prototype made for 'studio use'.
I wouldn't call him a 'responsible inmate'. His conduct has been anything but responsible. In fact I would call his conduct reprehensible. However, the final analysis he is probably doing more damage to VS than helping them. The only good thing is that he does provide some comic relief for guys like GregS who's post below was calculated to jerk his his chain.
We had another guy promoting another brand so heavily that the designer/manufacturer was constantly required to post to clarify or correct over the top statements. It was too bad because both the speaker and designer were of considerable value.
Personally, I have followed VS since the intro of the original Vortex Screens, have heard quite a few of his speakers in demo rooms, but never at my home. I never bought any and I see no reason to explain why I didn't.
