Try Skylan...

Posted by RGA on January 13, 2004 at 22:54:50:

Soundhounds here uses Skylan and in a rare move they actually carry it because one they're reasonably affordable and two their outstanding. I use them for my Audio Notes but they would fit more traditional speakers better with a good sized top plate and of course leadshot/sand fillable. $200.00Cdn is their cheapest(the ones I have). But the conversion would save Americans a lot...I'll put em up against any stand I have ever seen for $600.00. Put it this way, the Skylan's will be NO worse in any possible audible manner. And they look nice too.
