Acoustat Model 3 Medallion upgrade

I own a pair of Acoustat Model 3 electrostatics and I am looking for some information about upgrades, specifically the medallion upgrade. Is this upgrade worth it and is it a transformer upgrade only? Is this upgrade kit still available? Are there any other upgrades available?
I know Acoustat is no longer in business. Who were they aquired by, do they exist on the web and do they support this older line?
Sorry for so many questions, but any information will be greatly appreciated.
