www.BlueDiamondAudio.com trace

Posted by cdb on December 16, 2004 at 20:39:24:

The telephone no. is a Vegas area code and prefix. Not listed-surprise.
I use NeoTrace, and it returned different results for the shown WebSite addy. After a convoluted 22 node trace, we end up at IP 64.202.167.35 secureserver.net.
Whois has no reg for for secureserver.net.
Site host for the IP is:
OrgName: Go Daddy Software, Inc.
OrgID: GDS-31
Address: 14455 N Hayden Road
Address: Suite 226
City: Scottsdale
StateProv: AZ
PostalCode: 85260

Appears to be a discount Site Host (as low as $3.95/mo!)
This outfit hands off to CERFNET, and their backbone provider is ATT.net.

I'm not interested in tracing the tel no ($$), but that would be revealing. Note that the site states the their line list "may" constitue "used" items. Read: all. A real hero would forward the Site addy to all manufacturers listed.

Conclusion: It's a dial-up connection (not even a DSL line, which NeoTrace would show), with a bogus, unregistered domain name. It's a spare bedroom operation, probably an Ebay/Audiogon turn-and-burn churner.

Ran across something similar on Audiogon w/ cables. Establish yourself as an "Audio Store", by a five-pack of cables from the mfgr, and scalp them on Audiogon for maybe $10 profit each.
