Those speakers appear to like a low, but maybe not ultra low, impedance drive. And JBL bass drivers have developed a bit of a rep for needing volume (power) to come alive. I wouldn't run them with a zero negative feedback (NFB) SE amp of any type. A PP with zero or mild NFB might work.

As for others' blanket comments re 15" driver needing power: I'd say it depends on the driver, the alignment, and the quality of amplifier.
