Antique Sound Labs 2A3 Tulip ASL and Klipsh Heresy IIIs

Posted by pinkwaters on May 2, 2012 at 08:46:17:

Hey. Had a 5.8 watt Decware SE34i.2+ and went on a power trip and got a 35 watt PrimaLuna Prologue Four. Big mistake. The Decware played plenty loud on my 99 db efficient Klipsh Heresy III's. I was just tripping out on the power thing which was more in my head than how loud the Decware actually played with great contro. Totally missed the single ended glory of the Decware. Went all the way and got a ASL Tulip. 3.5 watts. Just gave it the loud test. PLENTY LOUD. Suprising speed, attack and presence with all the midrange glory. Insane vocals. I am not talking a little loud. Almost very loud. In the end it is all about the 99 db efficiency of the Heresy III's. Great combo. There is nothing I am not liking here. Once you go single ended and horns there is no going back. Happy Listening!!!
