The A-08S is the best sounding amplifier that I have owned. I have not heard the Art Audio PX25 and can only comment second hand from statements made by several (fairly trustworthy) professional reviewers. Please forgive my negativity when refering to paid reviewers. I have lost much faith in and respect for their autheticity as of late. You can find my posted review of the A-08S in the SET Asylum. I can (maybe prematurelly) state that the F-3 is also a great alternative and sonically competative with my Yamamoto. I can't believe I'm admitting that. The Yamamoto and Pass F-3 make for some interesting compare and contrast issues. Believe it or not, the F-3 is the amp that runs so hot that it seems to litterally raise the temperature of my listening room, while the A-08S runs cool. The Yamamoto ,as good as it is, is only a measly 2 watt amp. The F-3 offers a mighty 15 watts into 8 Ohms. This diference in power between these two mighty mites means very little when you are driving a pair of 100+ db 1 watt efficient Lowther horns like mine ,but, what happens when you/I want to try a pair of Altec/Tannoy/P.audio etc., 15" coaxials in big reflex cabinets? Oh well, more later.
