Oh, there's no doubt about it, Tom. Yes, they were in my pentode-driven 300B project. I think I was using a 6688 at the time. The amps were quite a hit at a local DIY meeting, but only after we switched to the TJ mesh-plates. Once they got back home I put the EH's back in.

I think it just goes to show that there are really about 15 or 20 300B "varients" on the market now, none of them sounding the same, some of them not even sounding like a "traditional" 300B ;-)...
