I'm I going to regret this? My 2A3-45 struggle.

I've been powering my Abby's with a PP KT88 amp as well as borrowing a friends 2A3 Moondog for intermittent listening sessions. I really like the the synergy with the SET vs the PP design with these speakers. I can see myself upgrading to the BEN's in due time. Some conversations with T. Cain have shown the he really likes the 45 tube. I'm going to purchase my own SET, however, I'm stuck between the 2A3 and 45 since I will be getting more sensitive speakers in the future i.e. BEN's (when my room is larger). The obvious choice would be buying both,,,or getting a switchable amp like the Wavelength Gemini optimized to use both 45's and 2A3's. I've read all there is on this amp. Pricewise I may be able to get a deal that makes it similar to buying two separate say WL DRD's. What are the drawbacks to optimizing a circuit to use two different tubes? I know Gordon Rankin makes some of the quietest SET's in inexistence. I've heard a Duetto before, never one of his low-wattage designs. Maybe I should just save a couple of grand and just pick one!!
