I spoke to Don the other day about his pre amps, and the X3.
It doesnt sound like he's working on a 45 only amp. He is working on a new 2a3, and has 2 new preamps coming out. As sweet as the 45's are, one guy I know prefered his 45 only Korneff to the 45's in his FI. He really liked Don's amp but did his higher wattage listening through a 300b - nice luxory to have multiple amps! I think it's great to be able to switch flavors in one amp, and don't have the real estate for a 2 amp setup.
Unfortunately, a new room is forcing me to give up on my horn/2a3 combo. So i'll be going up in wattage soon.
