Re: sears gamefisher 7.5 hp

Posted by MKB1952 on May 1, 2003 at 17:24:46:

I bought a used 7.5 hp, 1984 model. This one is an air cooled external gas tank motor. Parts are available through various sources. More common, like point set & condensor are available through NAPA. Less common can be found via "obsolete outboard parts" search on the internet. I have gotten shift handle and other things from Certified Parts Corporation in Janesville, WI. (608) 752-9441. I would say that these little motors are noisy. My Honda is a night and day difference when it comes to running quietly.

My bigger problem is finding specifications. Does anyone know what the point gap setting is?
