The fading is caused by UV degredation of the fiberglass, and or loss of the "gelcoat" as a protectant from the UV radiation. Waxes and petroleum based products don't seem to do much for this problem. I have had good luck with "303 protectant" It is a UV protectant. It is available online from their website. Sorry but I don't have the exact link, do a search on google "303 protectant"
