Here is my kayak 'parked' facing upstream on the South Fork of the Skykomish River in the North Cascades state of Washington... She is a Golden Eye built from plans by Pygmy Boats in Port Townsend WA. Paul Butler Boats built her.. She is 15'+ long, 'bout 23" wide and 36lbs. The 'black stuff' on the ends and bottom is a coat of epoxy mixed w/ graphite that provides a most effective scuff barrier. You can see more of this kayak cruising BC Canada on the SBF Small Boat Adventure page.
