Your Motor info, Year and tech info can be found at www.maxrules.com They have an excellent tech board for help with repairs etc. It is where retired motor techs and outboard hotrodders hang out. As for the water, could be a bad prop shaft seal. This should not be too difficult to fix in your yard, if you are mechanically inclined and have a few tools.I would test it first by filling with lube and running for a short hop maybe 5 miles at varied speeds on the water.Bring the boat home tilt the motor down all the way. Place a peice of card board under the prop area, let it sit all night and see if you have any leaks the next morning. If oil can seep out. Water will get in. Goodluck,TG
