Probably Astral Weeks but Moondance, His Band and Street Choir, and Saint Dominic's Previews are all great. I don't think anything post that period has been as good but through 1993 or so there were only two or three real clinkers.
Live he was huge disappointment the only time I saw him but he had a broken leg and was clearly in bad mood. His band sounded like a lounge jazz group.
