For what it's worth, I'm with you (or your type) all the way...

Dui,

First, if the moderator of this (highly liberalized) board is reading, a thanks. The fact that a thread CAN discuss the admissability (sp.?) of threads is a credit to management.

One day, and I want that day to come upon itself soon, I want to discuss 'Policies & Principles' with Chris Garrett. I don't know if it could 'happen' on the 'Outside' board - people might jump in and sidetrack the one-on-one (and then there's Bruce of Moderation which is not meant to mean 'acting moderate'...!)

My main question for Chris - who would be upfront without being nasty - would be this mentality of "If-you-don't-like-it-here, go-elsewhere" which, to me, seems childish IN THE EXTREME (not even to go into the impracticality and unrealism of the idea: as if a site like A.A. can be found by almost any measurement).

The intriguing (if not bizarre) matter for me is the love/hate relationship that the moderators THEMSELVES seem to have over banned members (or should I say 'bannING members'). Proper conduct seems to be the guiding rule, but as you (and others can) know, it's not. YET, in all fairness, you do see threads deleted or moved from seemingly established members or regularly-posting members. That's a credit - no obvious favortism.

Thanks for your posts, and again if the moderator of this board happens (or 'manages') to be reading this type of topic, thanks for your openness and liberality to let such a topic be discussed.

P.S.: Dui, why would a guy like Bruce of Moderation CARE if you were gone for good? Basically, what's 'in it for him' to have you if you are not liked or if you cause problems or whatever? That is the Question.

Respect,
Guy.
