Trans-Siberian Orchestra, "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve"

Posted by Luminator on December 23, 2023 at 13:20:09:

At the end of 1998, I was in audio hell. The Thiel CS1.5, an otherwise fine product, was not a good match for my crowded 15x15 room.

Hearing Trans-Siberian Orchestra's "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve" at in-laws convinced me to hold my nose, cut my losses, get rid of the Thiel, and go with stand-mounted mini-monitors. Granted, TSO's "Christmas Canon" was much more popular, but "The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve" led to the auditioning of the ProAc Response One SC and Totem Model 1 Signature. Can't believe that was a whopping 25 years ago!
