Owl City & Carly Rae Jensen, "Good Time"

In 1997, popular music, after a 5-year post-grunge decline, died. It did not come back alive until 2012. During the summer of 2012, adding to pop music's rebirth was the feel-good song, "Good Time," by Owl City, with Carly Rae Jensen.
Whether you were with one friend, a small group of 5, or the whole class of 25, "Good Time" got you bobbing and jumping. Yup, with "Good Time," 2012's pop music rebirth was complete.
No one in 2012 bought physical media. But if you happened to come across the rare CD single, you would have found that it featured a 60s-style photo of Waikiki Beach, with Diamond Head in the background.
Unlike the CD single, the VEVO music video was enormously popular. It features product placements for Beats, Casio, and Fiat.
We are now coming upon "Good Time's" 5-year anniversary. It is now heard, sigh, on "90s, 2000s, & today" radio stations. But then again, that is a sign that, ever since 2012, popular music has been strong, can now incorporate more years of history, and continues to flourish.
