Five years ago, in my review of the API Power Link 313, I mentioned that pure pop gem, "Save The Best For Last." For a brief moment, it cleared the rap & grunge storm, provided an oasis of beauty and delight. All the dances were named after it.

I recently met up with my former coworkers, who are high school teachers. Since the time I worked with them, our students of that period are now college-age. Since "Save The Best For Last" is a quarter century old, it is older than today's undergrads. When the song came out, these kids weren't even on their parents' mind.

The song still goes strong, captivates new generations. No. Back in early 1992, when we ourselves were in college, we did NOT foresee our own kids loving and singing this song.

If you play "Save The Best For Last" at audio shows, stores, and gatherings, you will quickly tell if the system screws up the sound, or distorts the music. But if the system gets the hell out of the way, the music will leave you in that "sometimes the sun goes 'round the moon" mood.
