and generally like people who say things in song rather than paint their face and grimace in front of a mic...
Out of 39 Genres of music, my HD has (not counting vinyl) these as the most populated genres
Pop-121
R&B-156
DooWop-42
Jazz-714
Reggae -56
World-220
Folk-454
Btir-Folk-489
Blues-891
Bluegrass-192
Alt Country-319
Country (the real country) -213
Americana-235
Rock & Roll-3033
Naturally some of the albums are classified according to my own loose ass definition of what they are. So, what and how do I choose what to listen to you may ask. Occasionally I will put a certain genre on shuffle....more often I will combine 2 or 3 or 4 different genres and shuffle them, the larger the particular genre is the more it comes up in the shuffle. Sometimes I will pick a certain artist and shuffle them, less often I will pick a certain album or a certain year. It is all so insanely wonderful, freeform radio lives again and I never really know what that shuffle brings next. Of course I do not let it keep a playlist and it reshuffles every time I enable it...
And I try to keep up with alternative press like No Depression and Mojo and record company press releases and of course that one great goldmine, album notes and credits....My hunting license is good for a lifetime!!
