"Do you often mistake live music for recorded Soundmind?"

Never. But then I never go to a concert or even into my music room with my eyes closed so who knows if that's a fair question.

You are most fortunate to have the opportunity to hear lots of live unamplfied music and to take advantage of it. I think like any auditory stimulus it's good to hear it again and again and again to wear a neural rut in your brain cells, auditory memory being so notoriously short. I don't think most audiophiles do. Now how would you know what "accurate" sounds like if you'd rarely if ever heard the real thing to compare a recording too? I think that's where a lot of them are at.
