And I only buy a DAC today that has a return Privilege. Then I'll do the listening in my system. If it doesn't sound noticeably better to me, then it goes back to the seller.
I certainly would not trust a reviewer in some Audio Rag or Blog on their 'Listening Skills' (i.e. - Bias to Advertising Revenue). And I am not about to try that many DACs.
So, ASR serves a purpose for me. I don't need any of their 'Subjective Listening Opinions'. BTW - I don't agree that it is a 'Meaningless Number'.
