J.River Mac Version Sonic Comparison

Posted by MRMB on October 9, 2020 at 13:43:33:

My music database of consists of >250,000 FLAC files. It just exceeded a 14tb HD.

I used "SongKong" to automatically fill in the gaps of metadata and "dbPoweramp's" "PerfectTunes"/"De-dup", for the latter.

Although it took days for "dbPoweramp's" "De-Dup" to "listen" to my sizeable library, it was a simple hands-off process that is then saved for future use. In my case, that was important, because a brief power outage deleted De-Dup's active output. From there, De-Dup's graphical output recreation was in hours, verses days the original "listening" took.

My experiences with "SongKong" and "PerfectTunes"/"De-dup" can be found in this thread: https://community.roonlabs.com/t/best-practice-duplicate-finding-deleting-flac-library-10tb/112557/32
