As usual there is a dearth of technical information on the Sonos website. Just the assertion that the DAC is "better". No information on the DAC chip used. No information on whether the high levels of noise and jitter prevalent in the Connect have been reduced.
I have a Connect that was a huge sonic disappointment after my Slim Devices Squeezebox Touch, which I sold because of software hassles and concern about the longevity of the touch screen. I had to hook up an iFi SPDIF iPurifier and a Schiit Modi Multibit to the Connect to get comparable sound to the former.
It would be nice to scale down from three pieces - with their associated cables/cords/power supplies - to one unit. Guess I'll have to see how the reviews stack up.
