The fact is all Apple devices could have been made to handle up,to 24/192 and FLAC 5 years go.

Yes, there numerous 3rd party workarounds for Itunes and FLAC but they all create other issues. The fact that iTunes has not supported FLAC shows they put themselves first. Sorry, Apple, ALAC is very distant second in the race.
