I think it was 'Jaydacus'...

But you seemed ready to flush the whole thing down the toilet a day or two ago and go back to you beloved modified SONOS Connect.

I guess I'm not that critical. What I am hearing now is SO far beyond the 'stock' SONOS Connect, at least for streaming TIDAL and QOBUZ, that it really doesn't compare. Thinking it's as good as my MacBook Air USB to Audio-GD DAC/Headphone amp, or close enough it doesn't matter and maybe better?

Maybe.

If I were playing rips and hi rez downloads, maybe that would deserve something better like Moodie?

Got another uSD card on the way. Should have bought a dozen for $50 when I had the chance.

Regards playing rips from a USB stick, is the one linked below 'overkill' and should I expect it to work and play music from the USB input to the Raspberry Pi, should I figure out how to load the right player software into it?

Link below:

I have the 64GB version and it works well with the wife's iMac. Only have a very few GB of music on it as yet. I've got some DVD-A (24/192) I bought from HDTT that I'd like to rip and hear what how they sound like on this thing.
