And I can tell you, you'll be wrong again!
You can't expect to load an SD-card and then you'll be set.
Every computer is different, every OS is different, every App, every DAC is different.
That's why they all require different treatment. And that's your job!
If you're not willing to invest, stay with a CDP, it'll do - probably much better then many average PC based setups.

That PcP "Audio" version relates to I2S-HAT-DACs. They explain it!
They even explain that you should use the other image for e.g. USB DACs and Wifi. You need to understand what's being written and what you're doing!
