Yes its pretty easy to Nickle and Dime yourself into a substantial amount of money in this hobby.
Just think, if you would have purchased a fancy LPS and a fancy USB-SPDIF converter and some cables etc. you could easily be >$1k. Thats about the cost of a modded Sonos +/-. Be better off just getting the modded Sonos from the start.
This is a fun hobby, but I'm sure I spent more money on junk than on keeper items over the years.
