RE: "You could do it, but what would be the point?"

If there is NO other downside, it would alleviate the need to have the headless Mac Mini running LMS and being on all of the time. If I could just plug in a cheap, $35 Raspberry Pi running PcP (no Digi + board required?) into a network jack anywhere in the house, why dedicate a computer to this task?
Running QOBUZ without a hitch. A bit sluggish with multiple entries of the same albums with the SqueezeBox app on the iPad but not with LMS on a Macbook Air, so I suspect a bug or two in the Squeezebox iPad app as it talks to QOBUZ to download my Favorites.
More Jazz on TIDAL or QOBUZ?
More obscure stuff on QOBUZ, that's for certain(at least for Classical). I have always preferred QOBUZ to TIDAL but streaming the same stuff A:B I admit that any difference is subjective and likely not even real.
Said another way, even though there is no difference in sound quality between the two, I prefer the sound quality of QOBUZ to TIDAL.
Why?
AUDIOPHILE!
