A couple of thoughts...and an offer

Posted by triodesteve on April 11, 2017 at 08:13:29:

I picked up a battery power supply from Musical Paradise. My intent was to run the dig+ board from it.
Right now I'm listening to my second system a lot via a Chord Mojo. To my ears the Mojo sounds better via usb. So I tried to power that Raspberry with the battery supply. For whatever reason, I think the cheap apple charger sounds better. What the heck?

Next up, I'll use the battery to supply 5 volts to the Mojo via a split USB cable.

So many things don't make sense!

Anyway, I ended up with a package of 4 headers to send power to the digi+.(for my other system) As shipping costs more than the dang headers, I'm happy to send some out to folks in the us who need them.

And remember, those cell phone batteries have really cheap noisy voltage regulators in them!
