RE: Mac Mini???

Posted by AbeCollins on March 13, 2017 at 19:02:34:

I've been running Mac Minis in various configurations for about a decade now. My current Mini music server is attached to a Mytek DAC for the office system and it also doubles for 'streaming' music over the network to my main system in the basement via the microRendu streamer. I haven't played with many power cords on the Mini as I have found other areas that probably have more impact on the sonics.

I looked at your profile and noticed your Cary setup. Your "R" upgrade on the V12i was based in part on the 12BZ7 and work that Dennis Had and others did when they developed the AES/Cary SixPac monoblocks, my favorite 'affordable' EL34 tube amps. I still have some 12BZ7 that I bought direct from Cary and never used. The Cary 308T was my all time favorite tube CDP. I preferred it over the more costly CD 303/300 player. I also owned the Cary SLP-05 flagship preamp at one time.

Nice setup you have there!
