Hi Bill,

I think we are having a bit of a misunderstanding. Nothing to do with malware at all, but actually old or unnecessary items and or links which are left over in the reg. Incomplete uninstalls can leave the reg file a mess. Some programs can leave your system a mess when uninstalled. Norton is a good example, you need to use a special uninstaller to get all the crap out.

I have never found this to be the case.
