Beveridge OTL amps

Two of them now repaired and working on the HV side. All doubler diodes, doubler caps ,HV caps-load sharing resistors and pitted blackened banana jacks replaced .HV wires and anode caps replaced. Lots of cleaning and testing and getting familiar with the HV side of the circuit. I can work my way around one now and not get killed with my home brew x1000 probe.

On the pre-driver side I still have work to do as these were muddled a bit some old FRAKO caps have to go and tidying up.

My panels test "well" and similarly from speaker to speaker so hoping for the best. Lots of discussion on the weak point of the transformers - I hope I can dodge that one as my voltages are all up to spec with no glitches --so far with lengthy burn in.

More to come later when I ditch the internal cross over and sub amp and go for something more modern and transparent.

It will be interesting to see how these compare with a SS front end to my Model 3's with direct drive and all tube driver stage. The dispersion characteristics are different in each model with different wave guides.
