It doesn't mean he's prejudiced or a heretic or that you are the infallible voice of reason and good taste.

So where does your prejudice lie? Is it anti-Verve, anti-"name musicians", or is it that elitist opinion that when something starts to get too popular, when more than just a few select insiders know of it, it can't possibly be any good? It has to be a prejudice, it's not a lack of music that prevents you from hearing it. Others hear the music, including me.

Just a guess - maybe he didn't like the music? I once knocked an Eric Alexander cd Geo recommended, don't remember anyone going into diatribes of prejudices or snobbery.
