She CAN do Broadway stuff properly, but usually chooses to be grotesquely overdramatic. I also have some personal bias here because I know from reliable sources that she is a conniving bitch. My writing teacher in Detroit was her first pianist. He didn't really like her overbearing nature then, but THEN......he wrote a couple big band arrangements for her. She vanishes with them and then later appears on the Tonight Show, Doc's band playing Matt's charts behind her. He recieved no credit or payment for those charts ever.
Anyone who can go out on tour once in 20 years (or however long it was), charge $1000 a seat and say it's ethical because if you had gone to see her every year for the last 20 you would have paid $1000 over that 20 years anyway.......I just can't believe that people still came and paid that amount. What a user.
