Thankyou for a most interesting and compelling report. I have been teetering on the brink of Gergiev-mania for a while. Rob's continual prodding sent me offf in the general direction, Binayak's report of the New York concert brought me to the precipice and your report may just have pushed me over the edge.
I was wondering if we had seen the last of the great conductors, but maybe Valery will carry the flame. Please let us know how your encounter with the man himself goes.
