Thanks for letting us know about this. Finally got to listen on my system. I found the sound to be a lot more blended than that from the Philharmonie, which has multiple mikes scattered among the musicians. There seems to be something approaching the "Decca Tree" over it all here. Is the NHK in its origins not a radio orchestra?

The Bruch was IMO forgettable but the B-7 very spirited. I enjoyed the joy of the conductor--so many conduct Beethoven with a scowl. I think you mean the LAST two movements are usually played without a pause. Just a performance practice; no score indication IIRC.

Will be looking for others as they appear.
