CYMO Intermezzo and CYMO 5.28.2017 Claremont CA

The Intermezzo group (younger) performed a wonderful program last night, really outstanding. I was surprised how well they played, although my wife commented they got a bit ragged sometimes (such as the end of Finlandia).
String playing was good, the little 5 foot timpanist was in rhythm and amazing, the brass and even the horn section was nearly spot on much of the time. Winds esp clarinet solo were played well.
Next week is the CYMO group's final concert for their season. My kid played in both groups for a total of 5 years. I took this pic in 2015, her last concert. Note the competition winner, solo cello and 1st chair of the section, did not have time to change out of her beautiful red gown.
