Yet another classical musician behaving badly - Part deux

So, a couple of hours ago, I'm telling the Leipzig String Quartet story to one of the local violin teachers I play for. (He's a Julliard grad who was in the same class as Nadia Solerno-Sonenberg.) He replies that, in that same Julliard class, there was a violist, whose name he happened to see in the Oakland Tribune some years ago under the headline, "Violist Arrested in Attempt to Burn Down Conductor's House". (I guess the conductor must have said something to him that he didn't like - LOL!) This incident occurred in another state, and he didn't mention whether the guy was actually convicted. In any case, the guy now plays in one of the two top-tier orchestras here in California (I'm not saying whether it's SF or LA), after having changed his last name in the meantime! ;-)
