I knew you would hear this stuff very easily. It's cool to have others offering clues. I wonder how many folks would have got Chubby Jackson figured out, just as one example. I don't think it would be hard for you to find another record by this same band and get it by me without me figuring it out if *I* didn't get that clue at the same time. The associations with Woody suggested by several here were a revelation of the obvious to me. Maybe that's because I don't have any of Herman's full-band personnel even close to memorizedm, I don't know....gotta go.
