I have the CD of Leonidas Kavakos and Péter Nagy and I find it to be most excellent :)
This is ECM 1824.
Ravel's Sonate posthume is terrific on it as well, and the George Enescu is great listening.
I haven't got the other CD you mention, but I will probably add it to my very long list of CDs to get :)
