Stiffening the MDF baffle

Posted by Barry on October 21, 2023 at 09:38:56:

Another simple option is changing the mounting of the Mye frame upright braces so they attached to, and "sandwich", the MDF panel directly instead of being screwed into the side wooden styles. This results in a rock-stable speaker connection with audible improvement (I did not measure). I posted a pic of how to do this somewhere here.

The downside of this, besides drilling 2 holes in the speaker MDF, is you have to mount the speaker to the Mye stands first, and then put on the grill cover wooden frames after. Somewhat unwieldy.
